WHY CHOOSE BIRT NEURODEVELOPMENTAL

My practice is firmly rooted in the principals of the multi-disciplinary team approach, and is centred around a holistic, individualised approach and open communication for the evaluation of each child. The aim of my practice is to assist the child and their family in their journey towards achieving their fullest potential.

Evidence based approach

The medicine we practice, the assessments we offer, the medication prescribed, as well as the advice offered is based on solid research and evidence-based medicine

Neurodevelopmental practice

We see children from birth until the late teenage years who present with numerous difficulties including developmental delay, school failure, hyperactive behaviour and possible autism spectrum disorder

Patient-focused treatment care

We provide tailor-made consultations for each patient. We strive to see the child holistically, and we aim to interact with other professionals who are assisting the child in the hope of the best outcome possible.

Follow-up and long term care

Our model is one based on continued follow up and support for families. We feel these type of difficulties may require reassessments, and we strive to offer more than simply a once-off consultation

Griffiths III

Griffiths III provides an overall measure of a child’s development, as well as an individual profile of strengths and needs across various areas of development. It is a standardized test that is used to track and monitor a child’s development over time. It provides valuable information to inform decisions about future placement and management of the child. It can be used for children from birth up to 6 years. The duration of administering the Griffiths is approximately 60 minutes
